We operate with a global mindset while maintaining rigorous compliance standards, with all legal and statutory frameworks governed and fulfilled through our Hong Kong headquarters.

You work remotely with a named mentor and a weekly check-in, overlapping at least 4 hours a day with your team's office hours, and you use your own laptop and internet connection. We match you to a team based on your interests, languages and time zone.

What we offer and what we don't
What we offer:
- A named mentor, a weekly check-in and feedback throughout the internship
- Real work on live partner files across operations, sales, contracting and marketing, not side projects
- Hours planned around your studies, agreed before you start
- An internship certificate on successful completion (conditions below)
- Strong interns are considered for open roles
What we don't offer: This is an unpaid internship: there is no stipend, allowance, salary or reimbursement of any kind. Explera does not provide accommodation, travel, visa sponsorship, insurance, meals or equipment. Remote interns use their own laptop and internet connection.
Applicants are responsible for complying with local law and visa rules for on-site internships. Explera may decline an application where on-site participation is not permitted.
Internship rules and regulations
Every intern agrees to these rules before starting:
- Duration: between 1 and 6 months, agreed in your internship offer. Any extension is agreed in writing.
- Working days and hours: set by the host office in its local time and agreed at offer. Remote interns overlap at least 4 hours a day with their team's office hours; exact times are agreed at offer.
- Attendance and punctuality: be available and on time for your agreed hours, meetings and calls, and record your attendance as asked.
- Reporting: report daily or weekly to your mentor, as agreed, on what you did, what you learned and where you need help.
- Confidentiality and data protection: guest, partner, supplier and pricing information is confidential during and after the internship. Use personal data only for the task you were given and never share it outside Explera.
- Acceptable use: company email, systems and tools are for internship work only. Do not share logins, copy company data to personal accounts or devices, or paste it into unapproved tools, including AI tools.
- Code of conduct and anti-harassment: follow Explera's code of conduct and anti-harassment policy, available to every intern in the Explera People portal under Portal → Policies once you join, and raise any concern with your mentor or HR.
- Leave and absence: tell your mentor in advance about planned absences such as exams or holidays, and as early as possible on the day if you are unwell.
- University requirements: if your university needs a letter, an agreement or credit forms, send them to HR before you start so they can be completed on time.
- Early termination: either side may end the internship early with written notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these rules.
- Minimum commitment: at least 20 hours a week across your agreed days, unless a different plan is agreed in writing for exams or university requirements.
- Professional conduct: on-site interns follow the office dress code, safety and security instructions; remote interns join meetings from a quiet place and turn the camera on for team meetings when asked.
- Gifts and suppliers: never accept gifts, commissions, free services or favours from suppliers, partners or guests; tell your mentor if anything is offered.
- Social media: do not post guest, partner, pricing or internal information, documents or photos; you may share Explera's official public posts.
- Work you create: documents, content and materials you produce during the internship belong to Explera. You may describe your work in your CV or portfolio without confidential details.
- End of internship: return any company materials; your system access is closed on your last day.
- No employment relationship: The internship is a learning programme. It does not create an employment relationship and does not guarantee a job offer.
